Morrison Bridge Lights for PDXWLF 2023
The color-changing LED lights on the Morrison Bridge are the work of the Willamette Light Brigade, the nonprofit behind the Portland Winter Light Festival. Founded in the mid ’80s to enhance the nighttime identity of Portland, the Willamette Light Brigade has a mission to connect community and enrich the public realm by harnessing the power of art and artful lighting to transform the cityscape. The organization lights bridges, produces the dynamic Portland Winter Light Festival, and advocates for the importance of night-time identity and place-making using light as art.
The Morrison Bridge Lights are available all year, and community members are invited to choose their own colors to highlight an important cause or event.
This year, the Morrison Bridge lights were lovingly designed by Chet Lyster. Chet is a Music producer, wiener dog enthusiast, nerd, guitarist, and triple Virgo.
