VAST – 2023 TRANSITION

The edges of stars create patterns and transitions in this site-specific neon installation. This installation draws on Perry’s prior work with waves, arc patterns, and curved letters all in neon, handmade by the artist.

Neon’s ability to transform the facade of a building is a historically proven power of the medium. This installation uses the street-facing windows as the canvas for an illuminated design of curved neon shapes that present a larger design across the whole facade, and present new shapes/transitions that transform the rectilinear dominance of the existing space.
