KinetiColor

KintetiColor consists of an interactive, kinetic modular aluminum sculpture with 13 snowflake shapes. 12 snowflake shapes radiate out from a central larger static snowflake, where various projections illuminate the shapes. A Leap Motion infrared controller senses specific hand movements which translate into rotation control for the physical snowflake shapes as well as the video-projection mapping on the shapes. The overall experience is wondrous as people realize that they are controlling the rotation of the shapes. There’s an additional controller which switches between 8 different preset visual projections, which can also be made sound reactive if music is present.
