From the Ashes

From the Ashes is an environmental installation of the once-vital trees that only partially survive forest fires. These large-scale wood pieces on display have been carved and shaped to convey their hellish plight and repurposed potential. Embedded and projected lighting is used to show them eagerly reaching out into our space, attempting to produce new life from their disfigured states.
