Oregon Water Leisure Club

The Oregon Water Leisure Club is a casual gathering of all lovers of aquatic leisure. The OWL Club provides an inclusive hub for the leisurely like-minded, and produces an annual zine of member contributions. The OWL Club is an ongoing project that involves art exhibitions, installations, photography, ephemera, and a collection of experiences of all folks who enjoy water in their own special way.

This piece was made in January of 2021 in honor of my friend, Cyan Paglia, who had recently passed away. The catharsis of making the 36 repeating neon units was very helpful in the initial grief of losing a young friend. The OWL Club project and this neon piece are commemorations to Cyan.
