Portland Adult Soapbox Derby Cars

DATES: Just the Weekends
(Feb 3-4 & Feb 10-11)

STARTS: 6:00 pm
ENDS: 10:00 pm

The Portland Adult Soapbox Derby is an annual gathering on Mt. Tabor to race home-made art and science cars.

Since 1997 Mt. Tabor has been the host to the very unusual event of the Portland Adult Soapbox Derby. Teams of weirdo artist-engineers assemble and race their art-science-speed cars down the 7/8ths mile course. Coming up on it’s 25 year anniversary, the PASD is now a fully-fledged non-profit organization supporting Science, Tech, Engineering, Art and Math and is proudly Portland’s largest free single-day event and is still all-volunteer driven. Stop by PDXWLF and see some of the illuminated cars from the event.
